Q:  Are the prices shown on the website my cost?

The prices shown on our website reflect suggested retail pricing. Wholesale customers interested in carrying our line may submit a request for password access to our wholesale price list.

Q:  How do I place an order?

Orders can be placed online using our Online Form, via FAX by downloading the IR Order Form, or by calling us at 203-255-1200. Be certain to give a thorough description of the items you’re interested in, including sizes and colors where applicable.

Q:  Which stores currently carry IR products?

Our jewelry is carried by stores and boutiques in nearly every state in the U.S. Give us a call at 203-255-1200 for specific locations near you.

Q:  Does IR require order minimums?

Opening wholesale orders of $200.00 are required however there are no minimums for re-orders. There are no order minimums for retail customers.

Q:  What are my payment options?

Initial Reaction accepts all major credit cards (AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, Discover) for payment prior to the shipment of orders. Open accounts (net 30 days) are available to wholesale customers once credit references have been approved, which generally takes three to four weeks.

Q:  What are IR’s procedures and charges for shipping & handling?

Orders are usually shipped within five business days unless large quantities and/or custom work require additional production time. Unless otherwise specified, all orders are shipped via UPS Ground Service and are charged according to delivery location type as classified by UPS. Delivery times are dependent on your location. Drop shipments may be available at an additional charge.

Q:  Does IR ship internationally?

We serve customers throughout the United States and Canada, including Puerto Rico. Additional charges apply for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote locations as classified by UPS or the U.S. Postal Service. Please call us for additional information and fees associated with shipments outside of the continental U.S.

Q:  What is your return policy?

Initial Reaction is happy to replace or refund the cost of any defective item. In order to receive a replacement or refund, please return the defective item along with a copy of the original invoice and a clear note describing what is being returned and which action you require us to take.

Initial Reaction will not refund or exchange jewelry that has been scratched or damaged by cleaning agents, cosmetics or other personal care products.

Initial Reaction reserves the right to refuse returns and/or refunds which do not include an original invoice, a descriptive note, or are dated 90 days beyond the original date of purchase.

Q:  Which letters should I carry in initialed jewelry?

IR recommends that opening orders include two sets of our top 14 most popular letters: A, B, C, D, E, H, J, K, L, M, N, R, S, T. The top seven most popular letters include: A, C, E, J, K, L, M.

Q:  Are your silver pieces made of sterling?

Initial Reaction’s engraved pendants and discs are made of sterling silver. Additionally, we offer necklaces and bracelets made using sterling beads and chain. Silver-plated necklaces and bracelets are available in certain styles.

Q:  Will my silver jewelry tarnish?

By nature, sterling silver will tarnish when exposed to air. Most of the sterling silver Initial Reaction uses to make jewelry is coated to prevent or slow the tarnishing process, however proper care and storage will help to keep our jewelry sparkling and clean. If our sterling pieces should become tarnished, use a jewelry-grade polishing cloth to clean them. Never apply polishing agents to Initial Reaction’s sterling jewelry as these may scratch or damage them.

Avoid applying lotions, hair products, etc. while wearing any of  IR’s jewelry as these may damage them. Initial Reaction will not refund or exchange jewelry that has been scratched or damaged by cleaning agents, cosmetics or other personal care products.

Q:  What sizes do necklaces and bracelets come in?

The standard length for IR’s necklaces is 16” and 7” for bracelets. Additional lengths are available in necklace and bracelet styles as indicated. Custom sizing may be available at an additional charge.

Q:  Does IR offer custom engraving?

Initial Reaction can custom-engrave any of our pendants or discs. While our pendant and disc pricing includes one side of engraving, we offer back-side engraving at an additional charge of $3.00 per piece. Typically, large pendants can be engraved with up to four lines of between eight to ten characters each. Discs and Small pendants can be engraved with up to three lines of between four to six characters each.

IR can also engrave custom logos — we require a JPEG file via email and charge a one-time fee of $50.00 per image.

Q:  Are your products CPSIA certified?

In compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008, Initial Reaction jewelry findings have been tested and certified as compliant with the lead requirement set forth in H.R. 4040, Title I, section 101, paragraph a.
